Shannon E. McCall, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-I, CEMC, CRC, CCDS, CCDS-O, is the director of HIM and coding for HCPro. She oversees all of the Certified Coder Boot Camp programs. McCall developed the Certified Coder Boot Camp®—Inpatient Version, the Evaluation and Management Boot Camp™, and the HCPro ICD-10 Basics Boot Camp™; most recently, she collaborated with her team to develop the Certified Coder Boot Camp®—ICD-10 CM/PCS versions as well as the Codercise series. McCall works with hospitals, medical practices, and other healthcare providers on a wide range of coding-related custom education sessions.
Yvette DeVay, BS, MHA, is a regulatory specialist for HCPro. She develops content for HCPro’s Medicare Boot Camp®—Physician Services Version, Appeals and Denials Version, and Federally Qualified Health Center Version and is an instructor for the Medicare Boot Camp—Hospital Version and Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Version. DeVay has over 25 years’ experience, with extensive tenure as a professional/outpatient coding consultant. She has wide-ranging knowledge of Medicare coding, billing, and compliance issues.
Shelley C. Safian, PhD, RHIA, CCS-P, COC, CPC-I, AHIMA-approved ICD-10-CM/PCS trainer, is president of Safian Communications Services in Orlando, Florida. She is a senior assistant professor who teaches medical billing and insurance coding at Herzing University Online in Milwaukee. She was recently named Outstanding HIM Professional of the year by the Florida Health Information Management Association (FHIMA).
Terry Tropin, MSHAI, RHIA, CCS-P, AHIMA-approved ICD-10-CM/PCS trainer, taught medical terminology and medical coding at Montgomery College in Maryland for more than two decades. She is the author of the Coding Made Easy book series, and creator of the YouTube channel “Tropin’s Medical Coding Made Easy.”
