Soft tissue tumor excision diagram
Use this diagram to visualize the excision of a soft tissue tumor from the back or flank based on its size (CPT codes 21930-21933). In this procedure, an incision is made in the skin over the tumor in the back or flank or a skin flap is created and elevated. Overlying tissue is then dissected and the soft tissue mass exposed. The tumor is then excised along with a margin of healthy tissue.
